Sunday April 27 Day 11 in Brazil

Sunday April 27 Day 11 in Brazil

A lovely sleep in and auto curtains at 8am. Off to the gym for a 60 min workout.
Showers and to the top floor for another amazing breakfast with the best eggs Benedict we’ve ever had.
Packed up. Checked out. Out the door for a 20 minute Uber to our next hotel - Renaissance São Paulo - 25 floors and 440 rooms.
We checked in and the lovely Beatriz upgraded us to a huge suite in 2401 for the week. Separate sitting room and 2 bathrooms. Lovely. And what a view.
Unpacked and hung all our clothes instead of living in a suitcase night to night.
Backpack loaded and out the door to tour the city.
Paulista Avenue on Sundays is like the Lilac Festival in Calgary. Thousands of people spread out on 15 city blocks. Put 1-2 live bands on every block. Setup a thousand farmers market stands and then let hundreds of cyclists, joggers and scooters rip through the middle of it all.
Every single Sunday.
Complete madness.

We wandered for a couple hours then grabbed some meaty cheesy lunch and back to the hotel pool for some down time. Phew.
Hit the swimming pool for an hour - wandered downstairs for some supper and back up to the room before Darren had a two hour meeting with the Calgary Ukrainian Festival people before off to bed before the big Conference starts early tomorrow morning.
