Wednesday August 10
Same format to start the day with up early and breakfast and in meetings all morning. Nice lunch and a short meeting and we had the remainder of the afternoon off after we listened to six of the united conservative party leadership candidates speak at a forum. Very mixed reviews on their understanding of the education portfolio and needs in Alberta but we were glad they attended nonetheless.
We decided to go for another hike so Karen and I hiked up a completely different mountain called Tunnel Mountain which took only an hour up and an hour down but it was extremely hot! The views over top of the town and Bow Valley were phenomenal.
After we hiked back down, had a quick shower and headed downtown to meet with all the Calgary Catholic ATA local 55 delegates at a very nice restaurant and distillery called Park distillery. We had family style food where they brought multiple bowls of food and put it on our tables to share. What a great experience!
Visited a few friends and then hiked back up the mountain to go to karaoke night. I was invited to sing Travolta Newton-John songs from grease and then later on sang Cadillac Ranch while 30 dancers line danced the night away.
Before the evening closed, I sang Jessie‘s girl and we wrapped up just after midnight.
Another fun fulfilling day in the mountains!
