 Monday, August 1

One of us slept in until 9 AM, I could piece of toast and out the door for Another busy day. We drove over to uncle Byron‘s place and had a nice visit with him on his 66th birthday! I gave him a copy of all my summer adventures to read and he will get an extra present in the mail soon! We drove around town for a while looking at some of the sites as it had been 10 Years since KRISTA had been back. We drove out east to our old acreage and took a few pictures of the outside. The new owners were on holidays and fishing lake but I called her and she said I could take a peek around the inside of the house! They are doing a major renovation and have knocked down many walls and changed many things so it will be very interesting to see how it looks in the future.

We left the farm and headed west and stopped in Tisdale to get fuel. We went little bit further west to Milford and stopped for a bite to eat and a visit with some new friends we met over the Internet that I am related to. A spectacular visit for an hour and back on the highway headed to Saskatoon. Thankfully I slow down for the speed zone at Walker and we made it to the southside of Saskatoon for lunch at Fuddruckers!

KRISTA and I split a burger and fries and it was delicious!

We picked up mom and dad a anniversary card for next week and then rushed to the airport to get KRISTA there for 3 PM before her 5 PM flight. It was a good thing she got there early because she was randomly selected for a scan and then she had some unknown farm chemical which required additional time to determine. Very weird! Her flight took off on time and she made it home safely thank goodness.

I left the airport and drove over to my friends Wade and Patty Kindrachuk that I went to university west in the late 80s in Saskatoon. Wade taught in Calgary for a while but moved back to Saskatoon to be with his sweetheart. He is just beginning his final year of teaching before he retires! Needless to say, I was pretty jealous. They are both wonderful and their kids are working and graduated from high school. It was wonderful to see them and catch up on our lives.

I stopped at shoppers drug Mart to pick up a gift card and some dessert and rushed home to enjoy early anniversary pizza with Mom Dad Neil Leanne and auntie Etta.

We gabbed up a storm and watched a little television and called it a night after 10 PM. A fantastic Saskatchewan summer day.
